Changelog

All the latest updates and improvements to WorkTrial AI.

Feature

Team Trials

Group assessments with contribution level scoring for each team member.

Evaluate entire teams in a single trial session with individual contribution tracking and scoring.

What changed

  • Team trial creation lets you invite multiple candidates to the same trial with a shared brief and resource set
  • Contribution scoring identifies and scores each team member's individual contributions within the group session
  • Collaboration signals track communication patterns, delegation style, and conflict resolution through new behavioral axes
  • Per-member reports give each candidate their own structured evaluation report, even within a team context

Why it matters

Hiring for team roles means understanding how candidates collaborate, not just how they work alone. Team Trials let you observe real group dynamics: who leads, who executes, who unblocks. Same structured evidence you get from individual evaluations.

Feature

Slack Integration

Real time notifications when sessions start, complete, and reports are ready.

Get instant Slack notifications for every key moment in the evaluation workflow.

What changed

  • Session lifecycle alerts notify you when candidates join, pause, resume, or complete their trial
  • Report ready notifications ping you the moment an AI evaluation report is generated
  • Channel routing sends notifications to specific Slack channels per trial or team
  • Rich message formatting includes candidate name, trial title, duration, and a direct link to the report

How to set up

Connect your Slack workspace from the Settings > Integrations page. Select a default notification channel, then optionally override per trial. Available on the Pro plan.

Feature

Workflow Visualization

Visual task graphs showing how candidates break down and approach problems.

See exactly how candidates structure their work with interactive task graphs and timeline views.

What changed

  • Task graph view detects micro-projects within a session and renders them as a directed graph of tasks and subtasks
  • Sprint timeline shows work phases, tool switches, and iteration cycles on a horizontal axis
  • Dependency mapping visualizes which tasks candidates tackled first and how they sequenced dependent work
  • Hover context lets you click any node in the graph to see corresponding screenshots, tools used, and time spent

Why it matters

How someone breaks down a problem matters as much as the final output. Workflow Visualization gives hiring managers a structured view of candidate methodology: planning depth, iteration speed, and tool fluency. No need to watch hours of screen recordings.

Improvement

Privacy Controls v2

Candidates now select blocked apps and URL patterns during onboarding.

Stronger candidate privacy controls with a streamlined onboarding experience.

What changed

  • Onboarding blocklist lets candidates select which apps and URL patterns to exclude from capture before the trial begins
  • Preset categories make common categories like messaging, email, and banking available as one-tap toggles
  • Custom URL patterns let candidates add specific domains or URL patterns to their personal blocklist
  • Real time preview shows a live indicator of which apps are currently blocked during the trial session

Why it matters

Privacy is a shared responsibility. Giving candidates direct control over what is and is not captured builds trust, reduces friction during onboarding, and ensures evaluations focus on trial-relevant activity only.
